The first of the in-store bakery offerings reviewed in 2021. Spartan packaging, and some baking inconsistencies make these a less attractive offering than they might have been, but, giving them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps Morrisons want you to get stuck in straight away, especially if they’re slightly warm, as these were.
Biting into one is a joy. The mincemeat is full of flavour, citrus and vine fruits, and very good spicing, tasting a lot fresher than some of the competition.
They’re a good size, and you’d have to have quite an appetite to go back for a second. Well, not straightaway, anyway.
Pretty good, these, where it counts. But their presentation could be better.
